Three finalists for the 2023 Agricultural Town of the Year have been announced, with Eudunda, Wudinna and Bordertown now vying for the coveted title.
Our towns in the top 11, Strathalbyn and Myponga unfortunately missed out following the latest stage of the judging process.
The award highlights the important role townships play in supporting advanced agricultural practices, thriving primary industries and regional development through fostering vibrant and resilient economies and communities.
Last year Mypolonga took out the title, the year before it was Kimba.
Minister Clare Scriven has congratulated all participating towns.
“Our regions contribute $29 billion to the state’s economy each year and they deserved to be celebrated and showcased,” Minister Scriven said.
The three finalists will be visited as part of the judging process, with one ultimately proclaimed the South Australian Agricultural Town of the Year.
The winner will be announced at the Regional Showcase Awards celebration evening on Thursday 9 November 2023.
