Driver Charged after Critical Crash in Williamstown

The driver involved in a serious crash in Williamstown last week has been charged with causing serious harm by dangerous driving.

Just before 5pm on Thursday 29 February, emergency services were called to Yettie Road after reports that a car travelling north left the road and collided with a tree.

The driver, a 49-year-old woman from Angas Valley, was taken by road to hospital with serious injuries.

The passenger, a 19-year-old man from Angas Valley, was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition.

Major Crash Investigators yesterday, Wednesday 6 March, arrested the driver and charged her with causing serious harm by dangerous driving. She was also issued with an immediate loss of licence.

She was bailed to appear at Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on 5 June.
