Indoor Bowls Association
The Indoor Bowls Association has been conducting competitions on Friday nights since approximately 1956. Originally it was predominately filled by teams from various church groups, however this support has waned over the years.
With the onset of COVID, our sport like many other sports went into recession, and we unfortunately witnessed the departure of many of our senior players. Currently there are a small number of passionate people trying to keep the game of Indoor Bowls alive.
So, our Association is looking to reestablish its competition and we are holding practice nights for interested players to come and try the game in the Monarto Lutheran Hall, Schenscher Road Monarto commencing 7.30 pm on the 12th, 19th and 26th of April 2024.
With mats, balls and a hall venue provided, it is a very cost-effective evening ($2.00 per evening per player) of sport available to all participants. It is easy to learn, family friendly and extremely suitable for people of all ages, as well as being heaps of fun. Following our game of bowls, many players stay for supper at a cost of a gold coin donation and enjoy fellowship with the other members.
