Police say that two drivers are lucky to have escaped serious injury following a crash at Hindmarsh Valley this morning.
Emergency services responded to the two-car head-on crash on Victor Harbor Road just before 7am (on Wednesday 16 October).
As a result of the collision, a Toyota Landcruiser went over a barrier and rolled down an embankment onto its roof and the engine of the Holden Cruze was ripped from the vehicle.
Both drivers, a 25-year-old Hayborough man and a 28-year-old Mitchell Park man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital by ambulance.
The Holden was towed from the scene and the Toyota needed to be recovered by crane.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
