Firearm and stolen car seized at White Hill

Murray Bridge Police have arrested a man after a firearm and a stolen vehicle were located on Friday.

About 4.30pm on Friday 18 October, Murray Bridge police attended a White Hill address to conduct a search. Officers allegedly located a stolen Ford sedan and an insecure firearm in the car.

The vehicle was reported stolen from the Northern Adelaide town of Burton in August 2023.

Police say the suspect was found hiding in a garage and was subsequently arrested.

A 26-year-old local man was charged with possessing a firearm without a licence, failing to answer questions under the Firearms Act, breaching firearms regulations, illegal use of a motor vehicle and breaching bail.

He was refused bail ahead of an Adelaide Magistrates Court appearance yesterday.
