A woman has been arrested and lost her licence after being caught allgedly drink driving and leaving the scene of a crash at Sunnyside.
About 7.15pm on Saturday 19 October, Murray Bridge Police responded to a single vehicle crash on Burdett Road. When police arrived at the scene, no one was found with the vehicle.
Police conducted further enquiries and identified the suspected driver and two children who were passengers. The children were taken to hospital for assessment of minor injuries.
The driver was subsequently breath tested and allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.148, almost three times over the legal limit.
A 25-year-old woman from Murray Bridge was charged with drink driving while a child under 16 was in the vehicle, driving without due care, leaving the scene of an accident after causing harm, failing to report the collision, and two counts of criminal neglect.
The woman was issued with six-month instant loss of licence and was bailed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on 9 December.
