There has been a lucky escape for the occupants of a house in the Adelaide Hills, following a fire.
Three trucks carrying approximately 15 volunteer firefighters responded to a Triple O call just after 2am this morning, Tuesday 29 October, to attend a fire in a single-storey domestic dwelling at Wigzell Street in Littlehampton.
The home’s occupants had exited the house and attempted to extinguish the fire at the rear of the building before firefighters arrived.
Volunteers found a fire that was partially involved and ascending into the dwelling’s roof space.
It took firefighters wearing breathing apparatus 50 minutes to control the fire and they are expected to remain on the scene for several hours ensuring the property is safe.
No one was reported injured in the fire.
Fire Investigators are determining the cause of the blaze. Damage costs are yet to be determined.
