The Alexandra and Eastern Hills have comfortably claimed their inaugural Twenty20 clash against the Hills Cricket Association yesterday at Meadows Oval.
Led by resounding knocks from Mitch Weeks and Corey Kelly, the Alexandra and Eastern Hills side posted 7/224 from their 20 overs, before they held the Hills away easily to bowl them out for 126.
Earlier in the day, the Under 21’s for the Hills took their turn to cruise home, winning by six wickets after bowling their opponents out for just 90.

Meningie’s finals hope in the Murray Towns Cricket Association are hanging by a thread, after a comprehensive loss to the Wanderers at the Showgrounds on Saturday.
Needing an upset to stay in touch, Meningie made just 61 in their innings thanks to 5/10 from Tom Watkins, leaving the Wanderers to chase it down in just 17 overs.
Elsewhere, Mypolonga easily accounted for Monarto to win by five wickets, while Mannum shook off a slow start to beat Tailem Bend by 91 runs.

The top four in the Great Southern Cricket Association is all but confirmed, after the league’s pacesetters all claimed wins on Saturday as part of Round 9 action.
The gap between fourth and fifth is now two games with just three left to play, with Yankalilla losing to Port Elliot and McLaren Districts falling to Encounter Bay at the weekend.
Mount Compass’ win over Myponga-Sellicks means there’s now three teams locked on points fighting for the last two finals spots.
