Bookings have opened today for South Australia’s newest premium hotel ‘Monarto Safari Resort’.
The luxury resort, featuring 78 hotel guest rooms, with a spa, including treatment rooms, thermal plunge pool, ice bath and sauna, conference, function and restaurant spaces, two swimming pools and a luxury camp and lodge will be managed by Journey Beyond when it officially opens, Wednesday 28 May, 2025.
To celebrate, Journey Beyond are offering all South Australians a 15% discount on rooms with some terms and conditions*.
Guests will be able to tailor their stay with safari experiences run by Zoos SA, including fully guided dawn and dusk safaris across 550 hectares of wide-open plains, amongst free roaming herds of African animals.
Ahead of stepping down from the Chief Executive role in April, Zoos SA’s Elaine Benstead, said to ARN’s Adam and Jennie this morning that it will be a wonderful tourism drawcard.
“It’s exciting to see things we’ve been working on for so long all coming into fruition, from the new Pandas arriving (at Adelaide Zoo), now we’ve got two elephants, three more to make the move, and of course today, first opening of the bookings for the Monarto Safari Resort,” Elaine Benstead told ARN’s Adam and Jennie this morning.
“It’s been designed to look really natural, there’s a lot of stone, rammed earth, timbre, really high calibre, the spa area is just amazing, so it’s got a thermal spa and plunge pool and massage room, and of course all looking over a waterhole,” Elaine Benstead said.
Glamping tent accommodation will open later in the year.
