The 2025 Aussie Town of the Year Awards have been announced, with Murray Bridge making the top ten as a vital place to visit this year.
The Murraylands hub was recognised for its “breathtaking scenery and diverse experiences for everyone”, which include the Monarto Safari Park, the River Murray International Dark Sky Reserve and the numerous riverfront areas.
Murray Bridge was the only SA destination to make the list for 2025, following on from Tanunda and Coober Pedy in 2024 and Port Lincoln in 2023.
According to Wotif, the Aussie Town of the Year Awards recognise trending Aussie destinations for the year ahead and are based on a data index that looks at accommodation affordability, quality, and traveller satisfaction.
Rural City of Murray Bridge Mayor Wayne Thorley says it’s a huge honour.
“This is recognition of the beauty and hospitality of Murray Bridge. We’re thrilled to welcome visitors from around Australia and the world to experience what makes our town so special,” Thorley said.
