A man from Strathalbyn has been reported after a serious crash at Woodville Gardens.
It will be alleged that just before 9.45am on Sunday 19 November, police and emergency services were called to First Avenue after reports a pedestrian was struck by a car.
The pedestrian, a 62-year-old local man, suffered critical injuries and was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital where he is being treated.
The driver of the utility, a 60-year-old man from Strathalbyn, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he had a sample of his blood taken.
He was reported for aggravated driving without due care.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
Major Crash officers attended the scene and are investigating the cause of the collision.
