Federal Government Commits To High Productivity Vehicle Network Across Murraylands

The Federal Government’s latest budget has included funding for the High Productivity Vehicle Network, which encompasses projects such as the Swanport Bridge duplication and the Murray Bridge Township Bypass.

$525 million has been allocated for the SA network as a whole, with no timelines for completion or commencement set for the local projects.

Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development Catherine King says these projects are important priorities.

“In this Budget, the Albanese Government is investing in infrastructure in South Australia – in the projects that are needed to make our roads safer, our freight networks more resilient and our transport links better serve communities,” King said.”

“Our Government is committed to working with the Malinauskas Labor Government are get these projects done.”

The $40 million dollar upgrade of Main South Road between Myponga and Yankalilla has also been confirmed, in a win for motorists on the Fleurieu.
