Two youths have been arrested after allegedly stealing a car in the Adelaide Hills last night.
Just after 6pm on Tuesday 17 September, a man reported his Subaru Forester station wagon had been stolen from Verdun.
The stolen car had an AirTag inside and the victim was able to track his car and provide police with updates on its location.
The car was tracked to Victoria Park and then into the city on Wakefield Street. The car made its way to Montefiore Road and onto War Memorial Drive in North Adelaide.
Patrols saw the car pull over on Victoria Drive and two people get out. The passenger, a 14-year-old boy from Woodside, was swiftly arrested.
The driver ran south on the parade ground and PD Bandit was quickly on his heels. He surrendered to the dog and his handler and the 14-year-old boy from Lenswood was arrested without incident.
Both boys were charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle and breaching bail conditions. They did not apply for bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Wednesday 18 September.
