The overall winner of the Santos Best Dressed Town competition has been announced.
As part of a long-standing tradition of Southern Hemisphere’s largest cycling event, a town is crowned for dressing the part as they welcome racing cyclists, visitors and teams to their region.
Middleton on the Fleurieu Peninsula has had its first overall victory, and the first win within the Alexandrina Council, after hosting Hahn Men’s Stage 4 on Friday 19 January.
The South Coast town was adorned with blue, orange and yellow decorations with painted bikes and surfboard-shaped signs during the January event, showcasing the region’s stunning coastline.
Previous winner Lobethal was runner-up in the competition, with newcomers Christies Beach finishing in third place.
