A 20-year-old man from Murray Bridge has been charged with a range of offences including threatening to kill, after a three hour standoff with STAR officers.
The arrest followed a disturbance on Jarvis Street, Murray Bridge, last Wednesday 11 December.
Police were called in around 11.30pm that night, receiving information that a member of a group, who left in a vehicle prior to patrols arriving, was in possession of a firearm.
Murray Bridge police identified the suspects and found the vehicle parked at a home in Francis Street.
STAR officers were called in after police were told the man was potentially in possession of a firearm.
The suspect was found in the roof space and was subsequently arrested. Two women were negotiated safely from the house.
It is alleged the man had a gel blaster in his vehicle.
He was charged with possessing a firearm without a licence, threatening to kill, along with other traffic offences. He was refused police bail and was called into the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court yesterday.
