Mount Barker’s Summit Aquatic and Leisure Centre is set to open this August, as the transition from the Mountain Pool continues.
Stage one of the project includes a 10-lane swimming pool, water play areas, a kiosk, fitness rooms and a crèche.
The Mount Barker District Council yesterday announced that Belgravia Leisure has been named as the operating partner for the facility, with experience managing more than 250 sites across Australia and New Zealand.
Belgravia already manages the Mountain Pool, which will be officially closed on the 30th of March after a two-day free community weekend to celebrate its 70 years on Cameron Road.
Everyone is invited to attend, with the pool open between 11am-6pm for its final days.
