Police are investigating after a severed horse head was found at the front door of a Murray Bridge address on Sunday night.
The gruesome act on the normally quiet Carsten Drive has shocked community members.
“I’m shocked to think that’s happened here,” one neighbour told The Advertiser.
“I’ve got two young boys, and it all’s all yeah, every seems very Godfather-ish,” said another neighbour to Seven News, in reference to an infamous scene in the 1972 film The Godfather.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery and the outstanding remains of the animal are yet to be located.
Investigations are continuing and anyone with information is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
