A fire in Meningie has reignited this morning after destroying a home last night.
On Sunday, 8 September at around 9:45 pm, CFS firefighters arrived at Bowman Street.
A total of 20 firefighters, on 4 trucks and 1 bulk water carrier, attended the house fire for over 2-hours, with support from SA Police and SA Ambulance Service.
Upon arrival, the front rooms of the house were fully engulfed, prompting firefighters to use defensive tactics from outside to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to nearby properties.
The occupant was home at the time but luckily escaped without injuries.
The estimated damage is $200,000.
Additional emergency services have been called in this morning, following news the back of the property reignited.
Fire Investigators are also scheduled to arrive to determine the cause.
