Three teenagers have been arrested, while a fourth is still on the run, after an alleged car theft early this morning in the foothills.
Just after midnight, police spotted a stolen Audi sedan travelling along Slapes Gully Road at speed, however decided not to pursue the vehicle.
The car allegedly stopped at locked gates leading to a quarry, before it drove at speed to smash through the gates where it collided with a bollard.
Four youths were seen running from the vehicle and into the quarry and surrounding bushland, with three quickly apprehended nearby on Willowbridge Grove after help from Police Dog Chaos.
Two 15-year-old boys and a 14-year-old boy from Seacombe Gardens and Sturt have been arrested for illegal use, drive without due care and attention and fail to truly answer.
The 15-year-old from Seacombe Gardens did not apply for police bail and will appear before the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
The two other youths have been bailed to attend in the Adelaide Youth Court on 31 January 2024.
